It is listed at 9600 Bellaire Blvd #102A, Houston, TX 77036, which places it among the local businesses of Houston that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Houston; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Texas are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 12β11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (832) 307-6666. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is fetail.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We came here for the lunch buffet and really enjoyed it! The hot pot broth was very flavorful and surprisingly authentic. The spicy mala broth especially reminded me of the hot pot flavors Iβve had in China β something I havenβt tasted in a long time in Houston. The ingredients were fresh, with a good variety of meats, vegetables, and other hot pot items. Everything tasted fresh and the lunch buffet was a great value. If youβre craving authentic Chinese spicy hot pot, this is definitely a good place to try. Weβll be back!

Old Alley Hot Pot was something else before. After rebranding, they left the old brand on several places in the restaurant. I didn't like the AYCE price for one person. It costed me over $50 for lunch. Food was okay but they can't keep up the sauce line stocked.
